Happy CNY

Happy Chinese New Year, people.

I think my blog has been on hiatus so long that nobody reads it anymore. lol I know a couple do read... but you didn't leave comments. T____T *sniffles* Where is the love, mah-friends!?

Anyway, great celebration. =D This time it's at my house. We had family group photo too. Family as in the whole family. One word. Cool. But I can clearly see so many of my uncles and aunties getting older and sick... This CNY, I pray for everyone to stay healthy and fit. Ganbatte.

And I saw kids growing up... so fast. So so fast. I was so shocked when I saw Allison again this CNY... she's like... 9 now. O.O When was the last time I saw her? She was still 5 and tiny the last time I remember. Sniffles... We're all getting old, aren't we? =P

It is hot as always here but... nyaha... can't complain much when it is like 45 degrees at Melbourne. D= Goodness me... I'm glad I didn't have to go through that. It's like hell-ish. The hottest in 70 years, I heard? Terrible...

Been hooking up with all these brainless mini games in addictinggames.com... I'm seriously bored. T_T I need to get a life. So... maybe my new year's resolution this year can be 'to get a life'. To volunteer with more random activities... do more stuff for the club and maybe do a sports during uni. AND still keep up academic wise.

This entry is fricking random... I need sleep... lol Jia yin is coming to my house tomorrow... Need sleep... *colapse*

Nite nite. *blow kisses* Stay sober and eat healthy people. You know who you are. Ciaoz~ =P

New Year

Happy New Year, everyone. =3 Yesh... once again I declare the fact that I am still alive. Sorry for the hiatus. Again. I think you guys should be used to it by now, yeah?

Anyway... update on my life recently.

Came back to Malaysia. Quality time with family and was pampered with good food for a week. Went to Shanghai for family vacation. Came back and met up with friends and cousin. Good times good times. ^_^ Have friends over at my place and to talk till we fell asleep was great. I recall fallen sick at that time... right after getting back from Shanghai but it didn't matter when you can sit around in Starbucks or the other random restaurants catching up with friends. ^^And of course there was Comic Fiesta. I can summarize it in one word : Awesomeness. Again, I would love to flood my blog with pretty pretty pictures of cosplayers... but I'll leave that for another day. Meanwhile, check my facebook's photo albums. =P

Then it was Christmas... It was awesome. BBQ!! Potluck!! I have nice pictures but I am too lazy to upload them up here. Blame Facebook. After uploading all pictures onto facebook, I now lack the motivation to upload photos anywhere else. =P Check my facebook for nice photos, will ya? Sankyuu~

Then met up with more friends. =3 Including Celiney from Brunei. It's weird seeing her in Malaysia after spending most of the time with her in Melbourne.

Then it was New Year. The usual dinner with Dad's high school friends and their family on New Year's eve. Those are seriously long friendships, come to think of it.... o.o Easily over 30 years of friendships... You don't get that a lot nowadays. Sadly. But I sincerely hope I can do that with my friends. =D Ganbatte.

There was fireworks and happy wishes... then Leo left us. Gone. Sniff. Not found even till now... You made us search for you early in the morning on the 1st of Jan 2009 you stupid!!! But we all still miss you lots... Especially mummy. T_T

And then all of a sudden boredom struck me... Sigh... can't be helped, the break is too friggin long. But thankfully for my friends and cousin Her Her, I get to go out breath some fresh air occasionally and enjoyed a few shopping sprees(ok... maybe more than just a few ^_^;;). And that would be my life till uni starts again.

Sis enrolled in La Trobe University. lol She was accepted into Monash but she has her own reasons for choosing La Trobe so... *shrug* La Trobe will be... two hours away from Monash. Great. So much for asking my sis to join our anime club. lol No idea if she would join Lunasy(la trobe's anime club) or not though... If so, she can be our spy!! =D I can buy her over with Pocky!

2008 has been an eventful year for me. Eventful can be... good and bad. Nonetheless, I've learned a lot last year. Hopefully, I have become a better person from all the so-called 'experience' I gained from last year but I doubt it. lol It's okay... sometimes, being a nice person doesn't work. Not that I'm saying I'm a nice person but... Okay, I am. >=3 Or I would like to think so, anyway. Mmm, scratch that... I don't want to become a better person... I want to be a smarter one. Yay~ XD Socially and academically. Haha~

Anyway... I'll stop here. I can't promise there will not be another long hiatus. Haha... You know me. Lazy... pfft...

Love ya people~

And... I miss you.

P/S :: To my friends who are going through hardships... *HUGS* Stay strong.

Avril Lavigne
Keep Holding On lyrics

You're not alone
Together we stand
I'll be by your side
You know I'll take your hand

When it gets cold
And it feels like the end
There's no place to go
You know I won't give in
No I won't give in

Keep holdin' on
'Cause you know we'll make it through
We'll make it through
Just, stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you
I'm here for you

There's nothing you can say (Nothin' you can say)
Nothing you can do (Nothin' you can do)
There's no other way when it comes to the truth

So, keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through
We'll make it through

So far away
I wish you were here
Before it's too late
This could all disappear

Before the doors close
And it comes to an end
With you by my side
I will fight and defend
I'll fight and defend, Yeah yeah

Keep holdin' on
'Cause you know we'll make it through
We'll make it through
Just, stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you
I'm here for you

There's nothing you can say
Nothing you can do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So, keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through
We'll make it through

Hear me when I say
When I say I believe
Nothing's gonna change
Nothing's gonna change destiny

Whatever's meant to be
Will work out perfectly
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah..

La da da da, la da da da da
La da da da da da da da da

Keep holdin' on
'Cause you know we'll make it through
We'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you
I'm here for you

There's nothing you can say
Nothing you can do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So, keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through
We'll make it through

Ahh, ahh
Ahh, ahh
Keep holdin' on
Ahh, ahh
Ahh, ahh

Keep holdin' on
There's nothing you could say
Nohing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So, keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through
We'll make it through

Life Since I Last Updated

Hi, people. I promised to make an update after 'exams and all the shit'... Technically, exams are long over but shit still goes on. ^_^;; Okay, shit is a strong word. I shall refrain from using it.

To be honest, my memory is failing me nowadays. I don't remember what happened in my life half the time since the last time updated my blog at January. For all I know, I didn't even finish updating the trip to Europe. >_> I seriously can't be bothered anymore. LoL So... I'm gonna just write whatever comes into my mind first. First thing first...

RESULTS
My results for last semester.

MOL2011 - N

What's N? FAILED. Ha! I failed! First time in my life. I got a miserable 47 for Molecular Biology and I can't even apply for a Near Pass because I'm a second year student. It's true I was expecting it but it hurts nonetheless. It's not like I didn't study. I pulled all nighters just to finished studying in a short period time. Or I think I did, anyway. I guess, if you don't like what you're studying... hard work can't bring you anywhere either. Without interest, there is nothing there to drive you into working harder. Nothing. At least, in my case that is the case. I like Japanese and I have a passion for physiology.

JPL2050 - HD
PHY2011 - D
PHY2021 - D

It's annoying how both Physiology units I'm just a few marks below HD but after failing Mol... I'm content with just what I have right now. I can't complain now, can I? So now... basically, I have to take another extra unit to compensate the points I lost. It also mean I have to overload... to take up 5 instead 4 units for one sem. Not to mention, I had this dilemma...

1) to take MOL2011 again or
2) to drop MOL all together and take Pharmacology plus another random elective

I picked the latter and took up finance. Yes, you heard me right. Finance. Finance, out of so many choices. To be honest, I would rather take Korean but unfortunately Korean Level 1 is not available on second semester and I have no intention on overloading next year since I would be doing straight science next year which would be hell consider how lazy I am. Why finance then? I chose it because there will not be any assessment besides a mid-sem test and the final exam. Contact hours? 3 hours. w00t~ Now... fingers cross. X3 And to dig through my memory for what I've learned from economy during AUSMAT...

MCAC
MCAC stands for Monash Clayton Anime Club. Since last sem... I became the secretary of this rather peculiar club. Celine is the new president of MCAC and a good one regardless of what she says herself. The other three committee members are three white guys. James(treasurer), Sam (Vice President) and Drue(Librarian). ^_^ll Honestly, when I got the position after the AGM, I was asking myself 'why are you doing this to yourself?'. At first, things were a bit tough as the old committee were condescending. We were told that we will never come up to their level. But of course not all of them are like that. There were those who gave help and support whenever they could. And I believe we have and still be able to prove them wrong. It's a lot of work being a secretary but I'm actually enjoying it. I've learned a lot of things I will never be able to obtain just by going to lectures or sitting by myself in tutorials.

I've learned that it's impossible to please everyone. It's either you please the majority and pissed off the minority. Or die trying.

I've learned that when you do something for someone, never expect any thanks or appreciation from other people. Because most people usually think of themselves more than anyone else. While you're waiting for other people to appreciate what you've done for the others, have you look around and see what other people have done for you? ^_^ Don't worry about wasting too much effort on people who don't appreciate what you have done. Some nice people are doing the same for you. It's like maths. One cancel off the other~ XP Sometimes you get negative but sometimes you get positive value as well. *thumbs up*

I've learned it's a dog eat dog world. If you're not smart/dodgy/sly enough, you will get bullied. Innocence doesn't work anymore. If you don't con people, people con you. No more kindergarten school ground. Something to look forward to in future, huh? Life in society.

I've learned that it's hard not to discriminate. I, for one, discriminate people who discriminates other people. No matter how hard you try, people would still judge you by your looks, from the way you speak(accent, wit, etc), skin colour(racists never fail to amaze me... o.o), nationality(If you're an international student, you are filthy rich), your personal interest(dancing, reading other manga genre lol), the time you shower(apparently, taking a shower at night is very 'asian'), the food you eat(eating salty food is 'asian' too). Snort. Seriously, snort. Some misconceptions and stereotypes like the shower one are funny but some are just plain mean. This conversation has nothing to do with MCAC... solely an example. Real life example.

friend 1 : I don't have a group for my presentation.
me : oh sorry, we already have enough people.
friend 1 : I asked another friend... but I don't want to be in his group because there's someone black. ('hei hei de' in chinese)
me and friend 2 : *stares*
friend 2 : But... if black but smart?
friend 1 : *laugh* I would rather have a fair(skin colour) but stupid one.

It's funny how I get sidetracked so easily... Okay, moving on. So what have we been doing? Everything is sort of fuzzy right now. We had a joint event with the Caulfield Anime Club... Karaoke Night. Basically, it's like a karaoke competition which doesn't make sense because karaoke is supposed to be fun. Competition is not. Hence, the whole event sort of lost its meaning, in my opinion. And 3 of the committee members from each campuses had to join the competition. I joined. Screwed up. End of the story. LoL But it was fun, nonetheless. Regardless of all the negative comments from members on the terrible venue, terrible mic(man... i agree), terrible audience(restless people who played cards), that is... >_>

Of course, during the winter break, there was the onsen trip from 4th to 6th of July. Organizing that was a pain in the you know where but it turned out awesome!!! XD Awesome awesome! Got positive feedbacks from the members and that is all that matters. Something happened on the first night of the camp though. I was involved in a car crash. O.O Fuuu~ I was in this car with a friend, tailing another car. We were going downhill and it was dark and slippery. Go figure. Didn't turn at the corner fast enough. Do a major 'piao yi' and BANG!! First crash to the side. Skidded to the other side and BANG!! Second crash onto a tree. Okay, I was exaggerating for dramatic effects. XP I'm still well and alive right now. Only got bruises. I think my friend is suffering more than I am due to guilt. Sniff. Not to mention, the car was trashed. We had trouble getting it out of the mud. Thank goodness for the nice people stopped to help. Thank you so much, good souls.

Drive safely, people.

GOLD COAST
So good. So very very good. The trip to Gold Coast with Celine and Stan was great. It was relatively relaxing than those tours I went with my family to elsewhere because it's more flexible. It's nice to just go on a bus and just get off at a random place. Exploring is fun. Trying to figure out the transportation system there is fun too. LoL Funny how things can be so different at Queensland and Victoria... Well, technically it IS two hours flight away. Pretty far apart. If Melbourne is Kyoto, I would describe Gold Coast as Osaka. The people and the fashion are so different. One thing though. It is very warm there during winter. People walk around in shorts and sleeveless in the day.

We went to Movie World and Wet n' Wild. We personally enjoyed Wet n' Wild more. At Movie World we went on a ride per hour. o.o Long boring wait before we can go on a 2 minutes ride. Gah. Besides the theme park, we went food hunting. Man... that was good. Food is always good... especially expensive ones. T_T We killed our wallets and bank accounts. Sorry, daddy. Sniff. However, at the end of the trip, we all agreed we had enough of western food.

I will grab photos from Celine when I can be bothered. LoL It was a long time since we camwhored so much.

NEW HOUSE
Remember I mentioned that we moved into a new house here? I don't remember whether I mentioned which house we moved in. It was house #4. And now? We moved out into another house already. LoL Why did we move out after only a semester? Because things got ugly with the house agent. We don't like her, she hates our guts. ^_^ll That's a con when one moves out from on campus hostel. You need to deal with difficult people haha. Fortunately, we have each other. Things don't seem that bad when you have good friends to go through the downs together. And now we managed to find a good place. Although I have to wait till August to get my room in the house. I have to live in Celine's room at the moment with Raine's futon. Not to bad but I can't wait till I have my own room because I don't really like the feeling of intruding other people's privacy. To have to call people to open the front door for me. lol By the way, I have now claimed the TV area as my territory. Wakaka~~~ The only thing I don't do here is sleep. X3 There are like... 10 people in the house. Not including me. A huge house! Nice kitchen and everything. But things tend to get out of hand when there are too many people in the house. Like a semi-Halls of Residence. ^_^;; Then again, can't complain since the landlord is a very nice guy. Hehe~ funny guy. *pinch*

BIRTHDAY
My birthday celebration was awesome!! Two nights before my birthday I was 'kidnapped' to a restaurant called Lazy Moe at Oakleigh. It was great dinner. I had steak!!! XD And cocktail haha. The food portions were so huge it's not even funny. The amount of chips is shocking and I swear there was half a lettuce on each plate. LoL That was a great dinner. A lot of camwhoring as well and presents! But then something happened after dinner. We split up to go home. Those who drive went home first while the others went for the bus stop. I was one of the latter. So there was 8 of us waiting outside Oakleigh train station in the cold. Suddenly, a bunch of high school kids came out of nowhere. One of them especially drunk and was shouting along the street. We tried to stay low profile despite the fact that we're a pretty big group. But then they HAD to come over. The drunk guy was like begging for money saying that he needs 20 cents to go home. His friends were just standing around. No one wanted to give him money of course... so I decided to just shut him up after like... 10 minutes. I took my wallet out, pulled out a 100 bucks, stuff it back in, pulled out a 50, stuff it back in, pulled out a 20, stuff it back in... and then took out a 5. Thank god he didn't grab my wallet and ran for it. =.= I gave the note to him and asked him to go home. Then one of his friends glared at me and said 'you go home!' and started rambling about how he lost his wallet. I was so pissed that I gave him a strong glare and he sort of shut up. Like... so what if you lost your wallet? It has nothing to do with me. I've already gave him $5, man. What's your problem? Funny thing was... the drunk guy was like all 'THANK YOU!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!' and started shaking my hand and everyone else. He was like 'say hip hip hooray!!' and 'I asked for a 20 cents and this kind lady here gave me $5!!! $5!!!!'. I was actually pretty amused by him but my friends were not. Things got a bit ugly when one of his friends pointed out that a friend of mine was very cocky from the way he stood. Then he sort of threaten that friend of mine, saying how he had many friends nearby and he could call them over to beat him up, take our iPod, take our phones and stuff. =.=;; I was scared. Not scared that I would get beaten up since he seems to treat me like a saint but more like afraid that they're gonna beat up my friend. We have 4 girls on our side, if a fight breaks out, we won't stand a chance. When the bus finally arrived, everyone ran for it. The guy won't let me go LoL. Insisting on thanking me all the way and he shouted at the people in front of the line to let me through first. o.o The bus driver had to get out of the bus to make him stop being a fool. Finally he came up the bus and shouted 'be nice to the driver!! Tip him! He's a nice guy!!!' and his friend was like 'HE'S A SEX MACHINE!!!'... Come to think of it, it's hilarious but at that moment, everyone was quiet. Sha, Jia Chee and Celine were like huddling together. >_< On the 25th of May night... I was working on my lab report last minute. lol I got a phone call from Moo-chan. So we had like random talks and stuff. Then on the 26th of May 00:00... I heard birthday song right outside my room. I was like 'omg... people are singing birthday song outside!!! Talk to you later!'. Ran out of the house and saw this huge group of people from MCAC outside. T___T And the one on the phone was there as well. LoL It was cool and I got more interesting birthday presents. Hahaha~

I think this is a long enough post... O.O And surprisingly, no pictures this time. Blame it on my laziness. XP I might not have time to update the blog with nice long sentences after this. Week 2 onwards is gonna hurt. So maybe I could just post up some pictures then. X3 It's like... a hiatus... but not.

And of course before I end. ^_______^

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3>

R.I.P

This week has been a very grave week for me and my family. My grandma just passed away on the 23rd of Jan '08 morning. It was a public holiday. Thaipusam. First time ever, Thaipusam was officially announced to be a public holiday. Among ourselves, we said that the public holiday was specially 'established' for my grandma. Probably coincidence, but we would like to believe so.

None of us was expecting the bad news as everything started out nice and warm that day. It was a public holiday. Everyone was home. Mum and I departed to send ZhongZhong to the LRT station while my dad left to visit grandma at the ICU in Pantai Hospital. I remembered saying 'Daddy, say hi to popo for me!' despite the fact that my grandma can barely move or hear and no longer talk at that time. Stroke is evil....

After dropping ZhongZhong at the station, we dropped our baby Leo at the pet shop for a saloon session. And then... we got a call from my aunt telling us that popo passed away that morning. My mum was sobbing so I had to call my dad to inform him but he didn't pick up the call. I assumed he had already reached the hospital and found out for himself. Indeed, later he called us to inform us that popo had left peacefully. No sign of struggle at all.

That night and the following night, we paid respect to popo in the Buddhist style. It was heart-wrecking. But we were told at the age of 89(92 according to Chinese calendar), grandma was considerably long-lived. So it would be a 笑喪 and we were not supposed to cry but on the contrary, laugh... be happy. I know it sounds weird but it does make sense. My cousin told me, if the deceased was above 100 years of age... people would be wearing red instead of white. o.o Wow... like celebration, huh?

Friday morning, popo's coffin was moved to the cemetery at Nilai. The ceremony was solemn but we were asked to change into bright clothes after the ceremony. I don't really understand why but i wasn't really in the inquiring mood back then. Today(Sunday), we visited popo's grave again. And we brought lots of food!!! XD I'm sure popo would be happy because every family chipped in to bring popo's favourite food hehe. Pan mee, Siew pork, Loh Mai Gai, Char Siew Bao, Char Kuey Teow, Durian(!!), fried egg, coca-cola, cupcakes and many many more! XD We bought flowers too. Popo loved flowers ne~ One thing we didn't bring was KFC haha. We promised to bring it next time.

Popo... rest in peace.... Hope you like the house we burned for you. ^_^ And the Mercedes Benz.

********

I got the news of Heath Ledger's death from my cousins during my grandma's funeral. =.= Talk about ironic... I watched Brokeback Mountain and that's all. I do feel sad but it's kinda surreal... maybe it's because he's a someone of different 'status'. Different as in one being an actor and another one being normal unknown puny insignificant.

Besides that..... I received a sms from Ching Yee and was told that our fellow Ausmat classmate was killed in an accident on the way from Penang to KL. Lee Nian Ning... I don't know her personally but she was quite well known during Ausmat. Practically everyone knows her because she's smart and pretty. JPA scholar student. Future doctor. Enough said.

Article on the accident : http://www.nst.com.my/Saturday/National/20080126080752/Article/index_html

Pardon me and my language but the bus driver can go to HELL. Why in the world was he still driving a DOUBLE DECKER BUS when he already had THIRTEEN samans since year 2000?? As a bus driver!?? Does other people's safety meant ANYTHING to him at all!??? Bloody idiot with NO sense of responsibility... If u want to speed, u can speed yourself and risk YOUR OWN LIFE. Don't make innocent people pay for YOUR wrongdoings.

Geez.......

Now that i've slightly cooled down, let's have a moment of silence for the deceased...... My grandma, Nian Ning... and yes, Heath Ledger............ Rest In Peace.

Thank you.

And yes... i shall update more about the Europe trip soon....

And again yes...... Life is short...... so i would like to say one last thing before i end this sad sad entry...

I LOVE YOU PEOPLE!!!! ... Seriously.

First entry in the year of Rat 2008...

...and the first entry after months of abandonment. Teehee... sorry but that's the way it is. I'm lazy. Full stop. Surprise surprise.

Speaking of year 2008... I'll be officially 20 this year. O.O I don't want to sound corny but... seriously, time flies... I don't think i'm old or anything. In fact, I didn't think much about it at all. Until yesterday, friend A(for privacy's sake lol) said 'Tomorrow i'll be 20... I feel a bit panic now'. Hm indeed a step towards 20 and above is a step towards adulthood. LoL By 21, i'll be able to do whatever i want... kinda. Vote and blah~

Ok... most of my friends know that i went to Europe for vacation so i guess i should update about it. Not sure if anyone is interested but i'm gonna blog about it anyway for memory's sake. XP Lovely lovely time during the Europe trip. For those friends who are looking forward to get souvenirs from me... well, don't have high expectations. Heh. Not like i can buy Godiva for everyone. Aaaanyway...

DAY 1 (24th Dec 07)
Met the most 'cheong hei (longwinded)' tour guide ever. =.= Honestly, he beats all mothers. Even mothers can't stand him. Departed by flight to Bangkok.

DAY 2 (Christmas 07)
Midnight, we celebrated Christmas at the bloody huge airport during transit at Bangkok not after we celebrated Malaysian time Christmas one hour before. How very eventful... And then we took off for Switzerland.

Arrived at Zurich airport after like 12 hours of pain in the u-know-where flight and was zoomed off to Engelberg in a coach. The scenery was NO.1 on the way to and at Mt. Titlis. Or should I say, Switzerland is absolutely beeeautiful during winter. Not that i know how it is during summer but anyway... PICTURES!!!
First we went on a small cable car up then we had a rotair cable car ride to summit at 10000 ft of Mt. Titlis. The cable car rotated as we moved upwards so that we can take photos from every angle. Most of these pics were taken on it. The most enjoyable one should be the Icer Flyer Ride. I guess what made it so enjoyable was because I had the best companions haha. Crazy bunch of people. Screaming on the way up, screaming on the way down, saying hi and waved once in while to the other friendly tourists. Six of us were like... the noisiest bunch among the tour members.

After popping around in the snow field, we were brought to Lucerne to sightsee the Lion Monument. It was... just a lion, at first. Then, I came to realize it's...... a dead lion. LoL Ok, sorry... it's a piece of art. Carved in memories of the heroic deaths during French Revolution... or something. Sorry, history is never my best subject but trust me, it's an art. Deep and sad art. And the last sightseeing destination of the day was the Wooden Chapel Bridge. The scenery was very peaceful despite the fact that the highway is just few meters away.

DAY 3 (26th Dec 07)
Right after breakfast we were whizzed to Bucherer for the most famous thing in Switzerland... watches of many exclusive brands. We even arrived there before the store was open. Our tour guide repeated and repeated how buying a timepiece in Switzerland would be an investment. Well~ since he insisted... XP I bought a Swatch for myself. And mummy chose another one for daddy.

Then, we proceeded to the Rhine Falls! It was an impressive sight! XD The pics i'm gonna post up do NO JUSTICE to the scenery i saw with my own naked eyes. T_T So very very beautiful... My cousin sis Wenwei was trying to search for a word to describe the scenery then a word pop into my mind. 仙境。It literally means heaven's place. XD It was that great. And Wenwei was like 'YES!! That's the word!!'

After the photo stop at Rhines Falls, we continued our journey to Titisee, Germany and we past the Black Forest on the way. I enjoyed the journey a lot because the view outside was... wow. I think i'm running out of descriptive adjectives. When we arrived at Titisee, we had pork knuckle!! XD And ta-da~ Black Forest cake! It was yum~ After lunch, the Cuckoo Clock Workshop. A brief explanation of the making of cuckoo clock. Continued our journey to Heidelberg where we saw the night view of the castle and the Necker River. Too bad we don't have any good pics due to the lack of lighting... In less formal words, camera cacat during night lah~

DAY 4 (27th Dec 07)
Visited the historical landmark of the most ancient city in the Rhineland, Cologne... The Cologne Cathedral. Another breathtaking sight. The Cathedral can be considered as the greatest monument of Christendom of Gothic architecture. Amazing!! Inside and out! <3. After that we had our chance to walk around in the street... there was this refining feeling in the air for me. XP Haha, hard to explain in words.

After that, we finally crossed the border into the countryside of Holland and arrived at Amsterdam. We could see the stick-like modern windmills along the roads. Besides that, we were told that red light distri
ct is legalized in Amsterdam. And what else? Oh yeah, homosexual marriage is legal as well. And we could do marijuana there in the so-called 'coffee shop' legally. Talk about new found freedom. LoL But it's not like we would just jump into a coffee shop and do marijuana just for the kicks. However we did have a tour at the famous red light district. Not allowed to take photos of the women posing behind the glass windows wearing glow in the dark lingeries/bikinis, sadly. Not much to see if u ask me... I expected more i guess. XO The reactions of my bro and cousin bro were priceless haha~ Their eyes focused everywhere except the sexy women. XP Shy shy.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuu~~~ This is harder than I thought.... I barely finished half the trip to
Europe. T_T Oh well~ I'll continue my story soon. Ciao for now.

A place to call Home...

Yup... as per title... We're currently searching for a house near uni. A place where we could return to after a tiring day of lectures. A place where we could have our showers without other people in the same bathroom(not cubicle, just bathroom XD). A place where we could do our business without having other people doing it too beside us. A place where we could keep our cooking utensils in the kitchen instead of our bedrooms. A place where we could make whatever noise we want without having someone walking out of his bedroom to glare at us(No, Jon, not talking about u XP). A place where we could study in peace without having music or electric guitars blasting through the paper thin walls. A place where we could walk or sit around in undies... if we want to. A place where we could call Home instead of Halls.

I must say, Celine did most of the searching and stuff. Thanks~ Love ya! *hug* And thanks V for driving us around all the time for inspections. I don't know how many dinners we owe you now. Haha, Celine is gonna bake u a cake! Whee to that. So well... basically, we inspected like... 6 houses? Or could be more. I'll write a chronology of it. XP Haha... For memory sake. It is my first time doing this kind of stuff.... one more step towards independence. Although i still have much much more to learn. Mada mada dane... *Ryoma's style* XP

House #1 : 5 bedrooms, big backyard with cacated fence, not furnished(total turnoff), creepy toilets(cracks everywhere), oven that says HELP on it(what the?), a scarecrow(??), etc...

House #2 : Run down... I don't even wanna talk about it. =.= Omg.... the paint was like... ugh... and the place is all wooden and ancient, dark and creepy lightings, small(seriously). Overall, ugh.

House #3 : I didn't inspect this one because i had lectures. But from what i've heard and the video i watched. It's huuuuge! And pink!!! Carpeted(pink as well!).... but one major turnoff... it's huge but empty. Not furnished!!! Damn! Or we would have totally jump on the deal.

House #4 : Yup... this one we are still seriously considering about it. Because it's a rooming agent thingy. Means we don't have to worry about electricity bills and stuff because it's all included in the rent. Which is reasonably cheap. But.... the thing is, we don't really like the house. If you can call it a house. It doesn't even have a living room to begin with. And the rooms are pretty small. PLUS, there would be a random guy from Hong Kong who is going to continue staying there for one sem next year. @_@ I don't want a random guy in the house... However, i must say the location is not bad, it's near to uni.

House #5 : Erm... I personally like the house because it's.... a house. Compared to #4 and duh #2. And it's quite spacious too. But.... it smells. @_@ Maybe it's the people there. They are... guys. LoL Yeah, so... it smells and they didn't really maintain the house. A mess. And it's way to far to walk to uni... so out of the question.

House #6 : Yay-ness!!! We went just now... and everyone was pretty satisfied with it. Everyone as in me, Celine, Sharon and Jia Chee(saw the pics only thou) who are moving in together. Stan and Tsan didn't like it because... I don't know. Maybe because it's not furnished. But the tenant said she would sell us her furnitures second hand but can't tell us the exact prices yet. The kitchen is massive!! XD Jia chee loves it! Oh wait... we all love it! In my opinion, the kitchen is the best part of the house.... although i saw a baby cockroach crawled past me. ^_^ll Oh well, i'm sure the insect people can deal with that. BUT we have a problem despite everything. We would have to pay the rent for Dec and Jan even though we won't be here except Jia Chee. It's going to be $900 for that period... @_@ That's a huge sum of money but most of us have no problem with it so i guess.... Besides that, we need to be more conservative with the usage of gas and electricity since it's not included in the rent. Well, need to sleep on it a bit.

So well... it came down to two choices. #4 and #6. We had this long discussion in Sha's room. It's an important decision because the place's gonna be our home for the whole year next year. We can't really move into a house we don't like. But then we have to consider the money matter as well. One other thing... the #6 house is nearer to Tsan and Zati's place! XD Bonus!! And 15 mins from Uni and 10 mins from Clayton town. Not bad at all. Honestly, we are obviously bias to the #6 but... yeah... sleep on it sleep on it...

I wanna post pics of the houses but... they're not with me... lazy lah. Maybe later lah. Gonna have a floor function later. Dinner at Sophia's and then down to Glen Waverly for Hairspray. XD Speaking of movie... Jie Yen urged me to watch 'Secret' by Jay Chou. She was telling me how good how good it was. Haha~ XD And yeah, she's not the only one. So yup... gonna watch it once i get it.

No pics for this post... Booooring post. I'm gonna update with more stuff later. About GFN and MCAC haha.... interesting~ XDD But now... i'm too tired to function. Hopefully i won't fall asleep later in the cinema.

One more thing before i pen off. Jon is leaving Aus soooooon.... T_T Although we could always meet each other back in malaysia. But... ya know, things happen. I made promises to always keep in touch with so many friends throughout my life but it never turn out so for some. As the chinese saying goes, you'll need two palms to clap. But then i'm more mature now... i'm not gonna go 'damn... haven't seen for so long, i'm shy lah' or 'she/he didn't call me for so long... maybe i shouldn't call her/him', etc. XD So yeah...

Ok... fullstop. Or i'm going to be ready for the dinner. Ciaoz~
